She completed her internship and residency training at MCP Hahnemann University Hospitals in Philadelphia, Pa. She completed a residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She has done research and published in the fields of inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology and nutrition.
