Dr. Mitchell Schwartz graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency in medicine, including an additional year as Chief Resident, at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. His Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology was done at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Schwartz is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Allegheny Health Center.

He is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and a Fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology. Special interests and research have included liver diseases, diseases of the biliary tree, gallbladder and inflammatory bowel disease.
